Hebrews 4:5 NKJV

and again in this place: “They shall not enter My rest.”

Hebrews 4:5 NKJV

God rested on the seventh day literally means God finished His creation. God put into place, where it will be productive, solve the issues, and restore itself.

Just like our human body is made by God to renew every cell by itself. For what God has spoken, it will generate what is needed to fulfil its purpose.

They shall never enter, referring to the first generation Israelites who came out of Egypt but did not have faith to obey God to enter the promised land.

Their unbelief was the main cause that prevented them from entering the finished plan God had prepared for them.

It was not the devil, nor the army's, nor their circumstances, but their unbelieving heart that stopped them from entering what God had prepared.

This rest is not about observing Sabbath rest. It is not about resting a day and being beaten up 6 days a week but it is about believing that God has brought us to completion through His death and resurrection.

It is about living in the finished work of Christ, believing that Christ has already completed the work and has given unto us all that we need to live in this world.

This is so that we will live out what Christ has finished and live what Christ has established from Monday to Sunday and every second of our lives.

The provision has already been provided. Now the believing has to take place from within us. So that we can experience what God has established in our lives.

Do we believe what Jesus has already accomplished or are we praying for God to do something He has already accomplished?

Let us believe that the work is completed and start living in Jesus every day.

Live in the blessings,

Ps Ambrose
