II Corinthians 2:10 NKJV

Now whom you forgive anything, I also forgive. For if indeed I have forgiven anything, I have forgiven that one for your sakes in the presence of Christ,

II Corinthians 2:10 NKJV

This is the test for every person who believes in Jesus to forgive one another and receive them into the fellowship of the body of Christ.

In this Paul instructs the leaders to restore a member of the fellowship that has repented and yielded to the disciplines. He is now to be restored so that he can move on to live as a co-worker in the kingdom of God.

There are many types of offences, some offend others and think they are the victims. Some are the victims of the offender and others get hurt without being intentional or accidentally hurt because something happened beyond their control.

No matter how it happened or who is the reason for causing the hurt, we are all called in Christ to display His love and forgiveness. This not only reflects Christ and His love towards all mankind but also a test of maturity to all who follow Jesus.

True leaders and followers of Christ do not carry unforgiveness but release forgiveness because they understand that unforgiveness generates more damage on self than on others.

It causes bitterness to develop that leads to anxiety, stress and it causes illnesses. Therefore, it is important as leaders and followers of Christ to walk in forgiveness at all times.

God's plans for mankind is not the destruction or punishment of humanity but the restoration of all humanity and a chance to be redeemed. This opportunity must be clearly seen in the fellowship and in our relationship.

Let us reflect Christ, His forgiveness to be evident in every aspect of our lives and encourage everyone to have a forgiving heart.

Live in the blessings,

Ps Ambrose
