I Corinthians 14:20 NKJV
Brethren, do not be children in understanding; however, in malice be babes, but in understanding be mature.
I Corinthians 14:20 NKJV
Paul taught the Corinthians to focus, to put their effort into learning the right things which is God, His kingdom and His righteousness.
In understanding we must not be like a child who does not pay much attention to building lives precept upon precept. A child does not plan ahead and discipline themselves for what is to come in the future.
Paul taught them to use the understanding they have received in Christ and to build their lives according to what they have received.
Paul also says to them in malice be babes that means to be innocent, naive and inexperienced in regards to evil and his works.
Many believers who focus on what the enemy is doing in the earth are usually gripped with fear, planning an escape route, intimidated and live a powerless life.
They might think they are strong, they may believe that God is all powerful but will hide as if God cannot protect them from harm.
Knowing evil is not going to give us strategies on how to overcome them. It only inflict fears and permeates our mind with his plans but knowing that we are an overcomer in Christ and have victory over the enemy gives us power to rise above them all.
This is a powerful truth that we too need to learn to be mature, focus on God, build on Him and the knowledge of God will help us live out God everyday.
Then people of the world can see the living God through our lives, they can taste the power of His love through our lives.
As mature children of God, we are to put into practice what we have received from Jesus our Lord and multiply it by bearing fruits that will last for eternity.
Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, cultivate what He has given and save souls by sharing Jesus to them.
Live in the blessings,
Ps Ambrose
