Galatians 1:13 NKJV
For you have heard of my former conduct in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God beyond measure and tried to destroy it.
Galatians 1:13 NKJV
Here Paul explained that this gospel he is preaching does not come by man's wisdom and understanding which he once was trained.
What he had learnt from an institution, learnt from the best who taught scriptures, has led him to be a persecutor of Christ's followers.
Saul was zealous with his religion, thinking it was an honourable thing to serve the Lord by persecuting the followers of Christ.
Religion will turn us against God, and man's wisdom will bring confusion to the truth.
This is why Paul is led by the Holy Spirit. God's Spirit taught Paul the truth that liberated him. The Holy Spirit is given to remain in us to teach and guide us into the truth.
This is so that we can see beyond the natural, to understand the supernatural kingdom of God, and understand that we are heirs of His kingdom.
Paul warns us not to be intellectual with scriptures but to allow the Holy Spirit to reveal the fullness of Christ in each one of us.
Paul is a man who exercised the gifts of tongues, with speaking, and praying in the spirit so that he can be more in tune with the Spirit of God rather than the wisdom of man.
Therefore, it is important that we learn to pray in the spirit, hear, and see what God the Holy Spirit is revealing to us.
Let us be spiritually led by the power of His Spirit and function as a co-worker of Christ every day.
Live in the blessings,
Ps Ambrose
