Romans 1:2 NKJV
which He promised before through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures,
Romans 1:2 NKJV
Paul wrote to the believers in Rome with a very powerful revelation about himself. He declared that he is a bond servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ which was described in the word of God.
This shows us that as a learned man of the old testament writing, Paul have seen his life revealed through the scriptures.
He was so bold, so confident and very assured of his life that is revealed through Christ and Paul wants this revelation to be shared to all mankind.
Every word of God reveals something about us and our lives in Christ. It reveals our purpose, our assignments and our destiny.
Paul before his encounter with Christ near Damascus studied the scriptures but only knew what it really means when he began to see it in the light of Christ.
Looking, reading and trying to understand scriptures outside of Christ can make us an enemy of God just like Saul experienced.
Every scripture must be read and conclude in the finished work of Christ and in all that He has accomplished for all mankind.
For God has called us, set us apart and sanctified us before the foundation of the world. What was lost through the first Adam was restored back by the second Adam, Jesus Christ.
Thats why we need to live our lives as what God intended before the foundation of the world through Christ because Christ is the one who restored us back to that identity.
Let us see ourselves in the light of Christ, let the Holy Spirit reveal everything we need to know as His children.
Live in the blessings,
Ps Ambrose
