Matthew 18:4 NKJV

Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 18:4 NKJV

The children of biblical times were very different from the children today. They grow under parents' supervision and direction because they know it is the most secure and trustworthy place to be.

The humility of a child is not childishness but they have such trust in their parents and live according to their parents' directions.

When Jesus said if anyone humbles himself as this little child, Jesus covered the areas of submission, humility to trust, and humility to abide.

Children trust their parents when their parents say something or ask them to do something. They do but they will hesitate when someone else asks them to do it.

Our Father in heaven has made a perfect sacrifice, a perfect helper, and perfect promises and if we can humble ourselves to receive what He has given, we will enjoy the Father's blessing over our lives.

It takes a simple faith to trust someone who has the best intentions for us. Therefore, it should not be hard to trust Christ our Lord who has given His life for us.

We need to rest in His love, rest in His victory, rest in His protection and provision so we can put to rest all the strife that goes around our mind and heart.

To walk in the spirit means to walk in all that Christ has done. His word reveals the finished work for all mankind because His word is Spirit and they are life. John 6:63.

Let us know our loving Father, trust and rely on Him, in Christ and in the Holy Spirit.

Live in the blessings,

Ps Ambrose
