Ephesians 4:24 NKJV

and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:24 NKJV

Paul is speaking to the Ephesians to put on the new man which is the regenerated and renewed nature. Jesus Christ defeated death and brought heaven on earth. Jesus made all the resources of heaven available for us who believe in Him. The banquet of blessings of heaven is before us in Christ and it is our choice to partake of His nature. It is our duty and our responsibility to put on this new nature of Christ by rejecting the old. How do we put on the new man? We put on the new man by believing what Jesus has done for us. His word tells us who we are in Him and who He is in us. It is our responsibility to replace the old image to the new image we have in Christ. We must believe that we are a spirit being. Therefore, we don't live life according to the things of the world but according to God's word. We are to put on the true righteousness that is according to what Christ has done. Living our lives in a way that expresses to God our gratitude for our salvation in Him. When we align ourselves with what Christ has done for us, when we accept our true nature in Christ, we accept God's work in our life. A grateful life is a life of beholding the glory of God which will cause us to be more grateful and draws us deeper to discover more of Him and less of us. This is a powerful truth that encourages us to be grateful for all that we have received. Let us put on Christ in every aspect of our lives.
