Jude 1:10 NKJV
But these speak evil of whatever they do not know; and whatever they know naturally, like brute beasts, in these things they corrupt themselves.
Jude 1:10 NKJV
Jude started off by telling believers to contend for their faith against the lies, manipulations and teaching scriptures from a carnal perspective.
For many not only turn and manipulate the scriptures to condone their sins but also stand against the truth of God's image and against His likeness.
Many object and question the word of God with their carnality. Making the truth of no effect, exchanging the truth with a lie that makes their lifestyle acceptable among people.
They don't realise that everything they say against the truth of God, bring corruption to their own lives. It causes their mind and heart to be dull to the truth.
Brute beasts, people who just go by their instincts and do whatever they desire to do. Just like animals with no direction whatsoever.
Jude began to see this things were taking place among believers and he speaks out to all believers to contend for their faith in Christ, to stand strong and keep building themselves in the Spirit of God.
Today we are living in the same environment, people have given themselves to their own desires, becoming God for themselves.
But we who know that Jesus Christ is Lord and the Saviour of the world must rise up and live our faith strong.
We need to pray in the Spirit, building our lives in the power of God's Spirit and His word. Strengthening the body of Christ by teaching the truth that sets people free.
Believers need to be actively involved in displaying the character of God, living our lives by demonstrating the image and likeness of Christ.
To bring back the truth that to live holy is about living out the best life God had prepared for all humanity. It is the life that brings true joy, love and peace to every soul.
It is a life where mankind live with God the Father, the creator of the universe, living the victorious life that Jesus have provided and walk in the power of His Holy Spirit.
Therefore let us contend our faith by living them out everyday, displaying the glory and awesomeness of living as God's children.
Live in the blessings,
Ps Ambrose
