Ruth 1:17 NKJV

“Where you die, I will die, And there will I be buried. The Lord do so to me, and more also, If anything but death parts you and me.””

Ruth 1:17 NKJV

There are great men and women of God in the bible who have walked with God and have produced great results through their lives.

One things that stands out among them is their character. Ruth is one of them that have shown extraordinary character of faithfulness, dedication and sacrifice.

When Naomi's sons died leaving their wives as widows, Naomi told her daughter-in-law to go to their country and find someone to marry.

Orpah decided to take that blessing to be released but Ruth had made a decision to go with Naomi and to take care of her.

In the natural, people would have discouraged Ruth to go with Naomi because Ruth still had a great opportunity to live and have her own family.

That would not be selfish. Instead it is to encourage a young life to be lived and fulfill their desire.

One thing we have seen time and again that those who follow God or godly people will never put to shame.

The reward Ruth received by following Naomi is far beyond her reach. From picking up unwanted leftovers to owning the field with her husband.

Her good character also have led her to know and worship the Almighty God.

We can never outgive God, for whatever we sow today, whatever sacrifice we make today or whatever investment we have put in and out and beyond the call of duty will always come back far greater than what we have done.

When we give ourselves to help someone, we open up the very character of God, it stirs up to life everything that is of God within us.

The yoke become easy and burdens become light. The good we struggle to do becomes a natural lifestyle.

Are we faithful, are we dedicated and sacrificial with our lives towards God and His word to go forth to the ends of the world.

Let us give our full attention to God, serve Him, above all love Him and reflect His glory through our character everyday.

Live in the blessings,

Ps Ambrose
