Hebrews 8:8 NKJV
God spoke to Moses to build a tabernacle for all mankind. The tabernacle helped the people to fulfil the old covenant promises. It was not perfect, but it made a way for the perfect covenant to be established.
The old covenant exposed sin, and to pay for it temporarily, they had to come every year to offer sacrifices.
Jesus Christ came to establish the perfect tabernacle that was not made by human hands but by God Himself. He established this tabernacle by giving His own sinless life.
Now all humanity has the choice to live in the new and perfect tabernacle where Jesus Himself is our High Priest.
All things have become new through this perfect covenant, and all mankind can live as God has ordained, as His perfect creation.
In Christ we have become the temple of His dwelling. We no longer have to go to a place to commune with God because He is dwelling within us.
What was prophesied here has come to pass through Christ our Lord. We don't have to pray for it to come or ask God to give it to us, but simply live in that covenant by faith in Christ, with thanksgiving.
This precious covenant has called us into perfection, set us right before the Father, and has empowered us to carry out our purpose on this earth.
This boldness needs to rise up in each one of us so that we can walk with such confidence in the covenant God Himself has established for us.
Let us not waste any of these precious promises, for they are life and light that lead us into triumph when we face our challenges.
