Luke 24:17 NKJV
And He said to them, “What kind of conversation is this that you have with one another as you walk and are sad?”
Luke 24:17 NKJV
After Christ was crucified and it was the third day after His death. These two men were walking sad and travelling to Emmaus. They were sad because they were hoping that Jesus was the Messiah but died.
While they were walking, Jesus joined them in their journey and asked them these questions, what kind of conversation is this and you are filled with sadness.
They knew the prophcsy, heard it preached and taught what the Messiah will have to go through yet they cannot go beyond their carnal self.
They heard but did not understand and they saw but could not see through the void they were facing.
Jesus continued to speak to them and said how foolish can you be and slow of heart to BELIEVE what has been prophesied.
Finally, they saw at the end that truly Jesus Christ is the Messiah, the Saviour of the world.
Many today know that Jesus have forgiven, healed, restored, blessed and made us an heir of His kingdom, yet find it hard to comprehend to live out the full capacity of what Christ had already done.
This comes down to BELIEVING. It is about believing what Christ has given to us, no matter how things may look like or no matter what the current situation may portray to us.
What has been spoken will come to pass, what has been given is ours to take and what Christ has won has been granted to us as His children.
If we want to experience God's full redemption towards all mankind, we have to believe that it will come to pass in our lives.
Jesus is the manifested word to all humanity, therefore when we believe in Him and do not move from the position Christ has placed us, then we will see the manifestation of His complete work in our lives.
Let us believe everything that Christ has established for us and believe that all of them will come to pass in our lives.
Live in the blessings,
Ps Ambrose
