II John 1:7 NKJV

For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

II John 1:7 NKJV

The author writes to teach us that there are many deceivers who do not believe that Jesus Christ came in the flesh, and that disqualifies Jesus from being the perfect sacrifice for all flesh.

The highlight in this passage is about satan's main objective to deceive the people from the truth.

This is the reason it is very important for believers to KNOW THE TRUTH. When we know the truth, we can avoid deception.

The fact that satan uses deception is because satan has no power on his own to attack believers. The only power satan uses is the power satan got by deceiving believers with his lies.

When believers don't know what they have in Christ, they don't know their rights as children of God, and if they don't stand strong in what Christ has done, then satan can deceive them.

Many believers even blame God for something that happened because of a lack of knowledge. This is how satan brings deception, so there is division in our relationship with God.

Therefore, the believer's first investment is to know God, build our lives according to our spiritual identity, understand our rights as children of God, and know what we have RECEIVED from Christ.

When we build our lives in Christ, which is building our lives in truth, all lies will be exposed, and all the traps of the enemy will be clear and easily avoided.

It is important we pull ourselves up together in Christ, setting our entire being to follow after Christ and see everything from Christ's perspective.

Let us keep growing in our relationship with God our Father, Son Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit who lives in us.

Live in the blessings,

Ps Ambrose
