which is manifest evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you also suffer;

II Thessalonians 1:5 NKJV

Paul commended the young Thessalonian church for their strength in the Lord is revealed as they continue to stand strong when they were persecuted.

While they see the persecutor get their judgement, seeing their work go to waste and the Thessalonians faith getting stronger and more evident than before.

This shows that these young believers in Thessalonica have grown to live worthy of God's grace by embracing and believing in the grace Christ has bestowed upon them.

There is no special grace given to them, it is the same grace for all who believe in Jesus but some value the grace of God and put them into practice more than others.

This causes one to be very fruitful and the others not so fruitful, this is because one puts higher value on what they have received from Christ.

They don't let their carnal minds, ideas of man or the philosophies of the world to change what God has said and given.

But the other did not put value in what Christ has done nor give time and attention to develop the gift of God resulting in less fruits in their lives.

People often give up when they are pressured, tested or go through trials but those who value the grace of God will use those events to manifest the glory of God.

We are called to shine the glory of His goodness to the world. That's why Christ has deposited all of heaven in us. So that we can walk on top of our adversaries, pierce through every darkness with His light and stand victorious in every battle.

Let us hold fast the confession of our faith and continue to stand as believers in Christ Jesus.

Live in the blessings,

Ps Ambrose
