II Corinthians 2:11 NKJV

lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices.

II Corinthians 2:11 NKJV

Forgiveness is very important for everyone to receive and to give. It is a power given to men to release or to tie people down with guilt and condemnation.

Paul is addressing this verse concerning a man who has sinned but has shown repentance and sorrow by turning away from that life.

It is important for Paul to teach the church to forgive and accept back those who truly repent.

Paul says that he knows the plans of satan are to kill, steal and destroy. Therefore, we as leaders must open the doors of acceptance to those who truly repent.

To those who truly repented, the doors will always be open but to those who don't repent will remain in their bondage.

On the same token, it is also important to be aware of those who want to take advantage and pretend to repent. We don't open our doors of fellowship to such people because it will cause others to stumble.

As leaders, we are to be very discerning and be very alert in the spirit to know what to do at the right time. As leaders, we are to walk with God and see things through His Spirit.

The grace of God is not to condone sin. Grace is an open door to encourage people to take a step into living the life God has prepared.

Let us be vigilant in every area of our lives so that we don't give room for the enemy to destroy our lives.

Live in the blessings,

Ps Ambrose
