For the man was over forty years old on whom this miracle of healing had been performed.

The religious leaders wanted to stop, constrain and punish Peter and John for preaching the gospel of Christ. They had all the power to bring Peter and John under their control, but they lost to one reason. The reason was a man who was born lame for more than forty years was standing in their midst.

We may not have the right connections, we may not have the right answers, and we may appear to be standing alone, but we must remember that we have the power within us that raised Jesus from the dead.

We can rely on the resurrection power of Christ, regardless of the situation's appearance in the natural world. Therefore, the church must rise up in the supernatural power of God.

When we start to believe in the supernatural power of God and begin to walk in manifesting miracles, signs and wonders, we will have a witness that will confound the wise and shut the mouth of the lion that tries to roar.

The church needs to once again move from having a form of godliness to having a living God with full power to open the blind eyes, open deaf ears, heal the sick and raise the dead.

The enemy may have the upper hand now, but the battles belong to the Lord.

Christ defeated every one of them and His church will need to execute that victory by walking in His supernatural power.

The enemy has moved in to change the focus of the church from a powerhouse to a monument, a museum and a thing of the past.

We need to be awakened again into living the power-filled life in Christ, not just teaching, not just preaching, but above all, demonstrating the power of God that is within us.

Let us cultivate all the gifts Christ has given to the church. Rise up in the Spirit of God and manifest His glory in this world.
