I Peter 1:6 NKJV

In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials,

I Peter 1:6 NKJV

Peter is exalting believers that our focus should be in what Christ has completed and not in what we are going through. That is how we build ourselves during trials and tribulations.

In this you greatly rejoice, not just rejoice but greatly. In Greek, it speaks of someone jumping up with joy, overwhelming gratitude of what Christ has made us to be.

Our whole being is wrapped up in gratitude that sends a good kind of shock to our being to rejoice. It is not just reading and being thankful but it does something to our entire being.

This comes about when we truly understand what we are delivered of, what we have received and become in Christ. We need to put our hearts and minds in rejoicing over it again and again.

So that our five senses gets renewed to the reality of our nature in Christ instead of our reality in this world.

Chains have been broken, death has been destroyed, we have been presented holy and blameless by Christ and we are already seated with Christ in the heavenly places.

We feel the fire of God running through every cell in our body, resurrecting our minds and hearts to be fixed in the powerful image of God, our Lord Jesus Christ.

Yes there may be trials, yes there may situations in our lives that tries to derail us from the truth but if we are steadfast in rejoicing and building ourselves up in what Christ has done in the spirit, we will rise up everyday with a great hope.

How we see ourselves today will shape our decisions and our belief system. We need to see ourselves in the light of Christ and in what He has done for us.

Let us greatly, greatly rejoice in the work of Christ and live bold in His glorious love.

Live in the blessings,

Ps Ambrose
