Jonah 3:2 NKJV

“Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and preach to it the message that I tell you.”

Jonah 3:2 NKJV

This is the second time God spoke to Jonah to tell the city of Nineveh to repent. Jonah rebelled against God the first time by refusing to speak, not wanting the mercy of God to be upon them.

Two things speak out here.

One is the heart of God towards the people to be saved. God went after men and women who had turned their hearts to evil and wickedness.

There was no one to be found who sought God in that city to bring the direction of the Lord. God had to send Jonah from another land to go there so that they could have the chance to turn to God.

God is always patient with us and has made many ways to reach people by His grace. If we keep refusing, then we will ultimately miss His grace and mercy.

No matter how wicked the city may be, God's voice is always to be heard. The enemy tries to silence the word of God so that the people will remain in their bondage.

The people of Nineveh turned their faces towards God and repented and their city was preserved.

Mercy is always there but if we don't turn to God's ways, we will get stuck in the bondage of satan. When the word is spoken, we have to give attention to it, change accordingly and live as God's word says.

God dealt with Nineveh under the old covenant according to its laws. Today, God deals with His children and the world through the grace and mercy of Christ, Son of the living God.

The second point is that God has called us all, just like Jonah, to preach the love and grace of God that came to seek and save that which was lost.

We are the extension of God's grace and love for the world to be saved. Preaching Jesus and His love towards mankind will draw all people to Himself.

God has called ALL MANKIND to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. The order has been given. We need to be doing what God has said.

Pray for souls, speak to one another about Jesus, heal the sick, cast out the devil and set the oppressed free.

Let us rise up in boldness and display the glory of God in every area of our lives.

Live in the blessings,
