II Corinthians 13:5 NKJV

Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified.

II Corinthians 13:5 NKJV

In Paul's final letters to the Corinthians, recorded in the New Testament, Paul addressed an important area that had already been addressed twice. He called the believers not to be judgemental but to examine themselves.

The danger of becoming like the Pharisees and Sadducees is when we start judging others instead of looking at whether we are reflecting Christ in every area of our lives.

Everything we do is about progressing and moving forward to completeness, maturing in all that Christ has deposited in us. It is not about how many works we have done or how many churches we have planted but how much of Christ is revealed in all that we do.

Examining ourselves whether we are in the faith is not just saying or believing that we are in Christ but actually working out what Christ has given to us.

The talents God has given to us are His nature, His love, and His power that heals, sets free, and delivers those who are oppressed by the devil.

When we focus on what needs to be worked within us to manifest Christ through our lives, we eliminate the entrance that the enemy uses to come in.

Paul urged them to live the way Christ has made them to be. We live according to the truth that Christ is IN US. Therefore, when we examine ourselves, we will have less time trying to examine others.

Let us take steps to grow in Christ and start speaking, thinking, and believing as Christ has made us to be.

Live in the blessings,

Ps Ambrose
