For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

According to Genesis 1:26, God gave mankind dominion over the earth. However, when humanity disobeyed, they lost this power. God's truthfulness and faithfulness to His word required Him to find a way to restore humanity.

The only way for God to save humanity was for Him to become flesh, pay the penalty for sin, and die for all humanity.

God sent His Son Jesus, born of a woman, tempted in every way, and bearing the sins of the world, so that we could be redeemed and set free.

This is the love God has for each one of us: Jesus died in our place, paid for our mistakes, and restored us to sonship as His beloved. Jesus' coming in the flesh is the only way humanity can be redeemed.

Denying Christ's coming in the flesh disqualifies His death and sacrifice on the cross. By becoming flesh, Christ identified Himself with every human being, taking upon Himself every detail of humanity so that we can be identified as children of the living God, bearing His image and likeness.

Let us be reminded daily that Jesus took on flesh so that we can take on His divine nature and live in the power of His love.
