Acts 9:11NKJV

So the Lord said to him, 'Arise and go to the street called Straight, and inquire at the house of Judas for one called Saul of Tarsus, for behold, he is praying.'

Acts 9:11NKJV

When Saul was stopped by God through a bright light, he lost his sight but gained a revelation that Jesus was the one he was persecuting.

Instead of punishing Saul for his evil deeds, God spoke to Ananias, a follower of God, and instructed him to go and restore Saul's sight.

We might expect punishment for someone who persecuted believers, but God's grace prepared a solution to heal Saul.

Ananias, too, struggled to understand why God would heal the man responsible for persecuting believers.

This story teaches us to be careful in hearing God and following His direction. God is in the business of saving people before the final judgment, and He wants to save as many as possible from eternal condemnation.

Two key lessons emerge from this verse: every sinner has the opportunity to change through God's grace, and every believer must avoid jumping to conclusions but instead focus on restoring others.

As believers in Christ, we must hear God and become Christ-centered, rather than self-centered.

Let us continue to align ourselves with Christ, His heart, and His ways.

Blessings,

Ps Ambrose
