And a cloud came and overshadowed them; and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son. Hear Him!”

When Peter, James and John saw Elijah and Moses talking to Jesus, they wanted to make 3 tabernacles, one for each one of them but when the cloud is lifted, they only saw Jesus.

And the voice came out of the cloud saying," This is my beloved Son, HEAR Him." This is such an important word that God the Father spoke to the 3 disciples.

It is no longer Moses and it is no longer Elijah but only Jesus. Jesus is the fulfillment of the law and the prophets.

Today we must not run after the law nor after the prophets but to follow after Christ.

We must not try to build on any other foundation but on Jesus Christ. Peter tried to make something out of what he saw, we must not fabricate out of what we see but live by the image of God.

Our Father in heaven said, "Hear Jesus." Therefore, everything else that does not stand right with Jesus needs to be put away and we need to start to listen to His Spirit according to what Christ has done.

Who do we listen to today? Who do we follow? And who shapes our beliefs? The one we should listen, follow and believe is Jesus Christ.

Let us let not go after our own ideas, our own desires but to know Jesus and the power of His resurrection.
