“But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. ”
II Peter 2:1 NKJV
Peter brought to attention the issues that were happening in his day with regard to false prophets and teachers who eventually divert people away from Jesus Christ.
When leaders, prophets, and teachers start to take the focus away from Jesus, away from the foundation Christ has laid and the gifts of the Holy Spirit that God Himself has given to all believers, then they all fall short of God's glory.
We have to be discerning when receiving teachings and hearing prophecies. We have to bring them before Christ and see if that is what Jesus Christ our Lord has established for us.
Some may say you are going to be anointed, going to be blessed. It sounds good, but it is not the truth. For the word of God clearly says that we have been blessed with every spiritual blessing.
The Bible teaches us that Christ, the anointed One, lives in us, and the life we live we live by the faith of Jesus Christ.
False teachers become the anointed one, and everyone else needs to receive the blessings through them.
True teachers will teach people to live in the blessings that Christ has already prepared for them. This is so that everyone will build their relationship with God our Father, Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit DIRECTLY.
We can never be strong if we are standing on people's philosophies, ideologies, methods, for they all will one day crumble down.
Having our feet anchored strongly on the foundation Jesus has laid will cause us not to be shaken, no matter what may come our way.
Let us be diligent in building our lives on a true foundation so that we can point everyone to Jesus Christ our Lord.
Live in the blessings,
Ps Ambrose
