For I have given to them the words which You have given Me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came forth from You; and they have believed that You sent Me.

Here, Jesus is in a conversation with His Heavenly Father regarding the disciples, leaders, all of us, and future believers. The past, present, and future are all covered in this conversation.

Jesus gave them the word. For a born-again believer, the one thing that we hold on to till the end is the words of Jesus. Every word Jesus gave is from the Father for the purpose of knowing the whole truth.

Second, Jesus said they have received them. The word of God cannot be earned or achieved but RECEIVED. It is purely by the grace of God that we can receive.

If we think that by our works we can have what God has spoken, we have been deceived. Our fasting, our prayers, our dedication cannot give us anything that is supernatural.

Fasting, praying, and dedicating our lives only helps us grow in the things we have received from God, which He has given.

Jesus also said that they know that Jesus came from the Heavenly Father, so we can believe that Jesus is the Saviour, Redeemer, and Lord. Therefore, everyone should be willing to let go of our past and reset our lives according to our new identity in Christ.

Believe that Our Heavenly Father has sent Jesus to fix, restore, and empower everything that was broken. Believe that Jesus has presented us before the Father, perfect according to His image and likeness.

This is the best thing that can ever happen for all mankind, for the whole creation, and it is already established by Christ.

Let us now believe wholeheartedly in everything Jesus has established, believe His word, receive with thanksgiving, and display His glory in and through our lives.
