Galatians 1:13 NKJV

For you have heard of my former conduct in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God beyond measure and tried to destroy it.

Galatians 1:13 NKJV

Paul says that coming from a religious Judaism background, knowing the old testament teachings of the word of God has brought him to be the enemy of God.

The word of God is perfect and nothing wrong with it but the one who interprets it can lead people astray and may stand against God and His works whom we long to worship.

Paul is not writing this to boast about his past but to warn the danger to function under a religious spirit. For it has led him to destroy people who follow Christ and the truth.

Paul was passionate but was passionately wrong. Paul was sincere but was sincerely wrong and he was zealous but have missed his direction in a totally opposite way.

Every teaching that stands on the works of man and their merits will lead people astray. Jesus Christ has given unto every person a new life. This life starts in Christ, remains in Christ and have to finish in Christ.

By living in Christ, we will be in agreement with the Holy Spirit, with the works of Christ and our Father in Heaven.

This is the reason Paul preached Christ and showed people how to live life through Him. We have been clothed with God's glory to shine for Him.

Jesus did not start a religion, rituals or a program to follow but to start and have a relationship with us, to become our friend, our elder brother, our Father and our loving God.

Christ demonstrated His love by placing His life over us and now desires to live in each one of us through His Spirit.

Let us build our relationships with Jesus, stand in His finished work and move in His Spirit.

Live in the blessings,

Ps Ambrose
