Hebrews 1:9 NKJV

You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.”

Hebrews 1:9 NKJV

This verse is describing Jesus and His righteous nature. His position on earth is raised above all creation in every realm, above all authority and power, making Jesus the King of kings and Lord of Lords.

This is the position God gave mankind in the Garden before the Fall of Mankind, to rule over the earth.

Today, God has restored to us, through Christ, to be the same image, to live and move in the power and authority of God.

God has given back to mankind the authority and power to care for, serve, restore, and build one another for the glory of God.

The motivation for our serving has to be like Christ to His Father, doing the will of His Father and giving Him all the glory.

Everything Christ has received from the Father is for eternity. Therefore, what we have received from Christ is also for eternity.

The only thing that can disqualify us is our choice. Rejecting Jesus and His gift will cause us to go back under satan's domain.

Let us take hold of what Christ has given to us and serve Him with the same oil of gladness and the same anointing to live out the life of Jesus.
