But I say to you that Elijah has come already, and they did not know him but did to him whatever they wished. Likewise the Son of Man is also about to suffer at their hands.”

The Pharisee, who knew the scriptures, was unable to discern things spiritually; therefore, they missed the coming of Elijah and his ministry.

They questioned the one who came from God and kept their ego to believe according to their carnal minds. When scriptures are questioned and looked at through carnal minds, they can lose sight of the truth.

The ministry of Elijah had come in the form of John the Baptist and had established what was needed through his ministry to make way for Jesus Christ, Son of the living God.

Yet they were blinded by their own ideology of scriptures. This must not happen to us who are born again.

They did the same to Jesus; they questioned His divinity, His ministry, and His purpose to save all mankind.

Today are we dismissing what Christ has established by going back to a man without Christ?

Are we denying that Christ has not given to us all things pertaining to life and godliness?

Are we still carnal in our thinking to wait for God to do something when He said it is finished?

We need to see ourselves as born again to a new person who is blessed, holy, anointed, and appointed to declare His glory on this earth.

People who are in a hurry to go to heaven have missed the point, for heaven is already established in our lives when we receive Christ into our hearts.

We are to live out heaven here on earth. Do not let anything take that from us. This is our heritage that we may be bold in the day of final judgment.

Let us rise up in the truth, in Christ, and in His image and likeness. Display Him every day and shine His glory forever.
