I Corinthians 7:21 NKJV

Were you called while a slave? Do not be concerned about it; but if you can be made free, rather use it.

I Corinthians 7:21 NKJV

Paul addressed the believers on the importance of having the right identity in Christ. For many believers work as slaves to their masters.

Though they work under a master, they are still freed men in the spirit because of their new identity in Christ.

Paul encouraged them to carry themselves as new creations in Christ. It does not matter if they work as slaves or they work for their own business as masters.

Paul said not to be concerned about our natural identity and don't let that define us and how we function in our daily life.

Today in the church, many define serving the Lord as full-time, part-time, or just working as an ordinary person.

Whether we are serving the Lord as our full-time ministry, working in a full-time job, or by vocation, we are all called children of God to function in His fullness in everything we do every day.

All of us are called to serve Him through our work, our business, as parents, and as children to fully display His glory and grace.

Therefore, a full-time minister is no greater than the servant who cleans the house. We are all equally called by God to display His glory in our own sphere of influence.

We must not divide or measure people by their work or their status, but we must value each other by the grace God has given to all of us.

We are all called to use this liberty which we have received in Christ Jesus our Lord. Let us encourage each other to live from the position Christ has placed us.

Live in the blessings,

Ps Ambrose
