II Corinthians 5:17 NKJV
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
II Corinthians 5:17 NKJV
Such a powerful and liberating statement which is the truth about who we have become in Christ.
We have become new.
Our old self has died with Christ, now the new sinless, righteous, holy and pure person has been born.
What religion tries to attain, Christ gave to all who will believe in Him. Any prayers that try to get what God has already given are a form of religion.
This is because prayers that try to get from God will keep us as those who have not received from Christ, and believing a lie that Christ has not given to us.
Therefore, it nullifies the work Christ established for us. This makes us stand contrary to what Christ has done for us and even become an enemy of God just like Saul.
We are a new creation in Christ. Therefore, we must stop saying this is who I am, or this is what I do and rehearsing our old habits and our old situations.
We have to start saying who we have become in Christ, saying what Christ has made us to be until our soul starts to renew to the new image in Christ Jesus our Lord.
How much of the new in Christ are we living?
This is the treasure of life that will never end. Therefore, stop looking at the past and start searching for the treasures that are in the Word of God.
We cannot blame God for why we don't have, why we cannot do, or why I am like this? Because He has answered all our prayers before the foundation of the world and has made provision before we were born.
Sometimes we think that God is clueless.
We may not say it that way but we certainly do pray and remind God what to do or even how to do it.
Some even give direction to God on what is the best way to go about the situation. It sounds terrible but we do it all the time.
When we live as a new creation, we live as one who has received everything that we need pertaining to life and godliness.
Let us all start our new life that we have received and have a wonderful fellowship with our Lord and King.
Blessings,
Ps Ambrose
