I Corinthians 4:10 NKJV

We are fools for Christ’s sake, but you are wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are distinguished, but we are dishonored!

I Corinthians 4:10 NKJV

Paul taught the Corinthians that the apostles are looked at as fools by the wise and noble in the world. They are deemed as weak and dishonoured in the eyes of the world.

Nothing has changed with regard to the way the world looks at believers who trust Jesus as Lord and Saviour.

Sadly many believers in Corinthians are drawn by the world's philosophies and stand as if they have earned the grace of God.

They elevated themselves as one who is superior to others. Judging each other by what they can see and by their works.

We are all justified by faith in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. There is no other way and there will be no other way except Jesus Christ and His gift towards us.

Boasting in self only happens when one thinks they have earned it by their works but boasting has no place on someone who believes that everything is a gift from God.

In Christ, we have received everything pertaining to life and godliness. Therefore, let not the view of the world and its philosophies move us from the firm foundation we stand on which is Jesus Christ.

There is a lot of persuasion out there to pull people back to observation, to live in the shadow of things instead of the reality of living in Jesus Christ.

Let us remember that Jesus has given us all that we need, and we are called to live in Him and through Him all the days of our lives.

Blessings,

Ps Ambrose
