John 1:41 NKJV
He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, “We have found the Messiah” (which is translated, the Christ).
John 1:41 NKJV
Andrew was seeking for the Saviour of the world. When he heard John the Baptist spoke, Andrew not only acknowledged but followed Jesus from that moment onwards.
Andrew said to his brother Simon Peter, "WE HAVE FOUND the Messiah". This indicates that Andrew and his brother had a heart that was searching, desiring and positioned to let go of everything to follow Christ. And that is exactly what they did and they became Jesus's first two disciples and they remain till the end.
The posture of our heart is important. How we set ourselves to seek God is crucial so that when we hear God's voice and God's direction, we will not think twice to let go of the present to follow Him.
If we set our posture right towards God and towards His word, we will not slumber when we hear instructions from Him.
Answers will always come to those who seek the truth. Those who hunger for true righteousness will find it. For we have a God who is always standing at the door of our hearts, ready to come in and abide.
Let us set our lives in the right posture by desiring to know God so that we can make Him known.
Blessings,
