Matthew 7:9 NKJV

Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?

Matthew 7:9 NKJV

We, as parents, know how to give good gifts to our children. We provide food, shelter and daily needs without our children begging us.

But the way we approach God often seems like God needs a little help from us to remind Him to be good to us, to be kind and considerate of our situation.

Where did we get that picture from to pray like that? Though we who are not perfect know to make sure our children have food and shelter, how is it that we judge God less than us?

Perhaps we don't even realise what we are praying. Perhaps our daily seeking of God has become a ritual that we love so much so that we love the rituals rather than God. It is time that we stop and consider who is OUR GOD.

He is our PERFECT FATHER. The faithful One, the One who holds us so precious as an apple of His eye.

It is time that we take a closer look at our relationships with our God. Is God truly God, or have we made God our helper and supervise Him on how to do the work for us?

God is far above superior than the most superior people on the face of this earth. Let us worship Him in our conversations, in our adoration and honour God as God every day of our lives.

Blessings,

Ps Ambrose
