Psalms 40:4 NKJV
Blessed is that man who makes the Lord his trust, And does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
Psalms 40:4 NKJV
The Word of God says blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust. This is a decision made by the person to trust God's Word, regardless of their circumstances.
Every problem and challenge may change, but God's Word and power remain constant.
If we trust in changeable things, we'll be swayed from side to side and blown like the wind. But if we step out of our natural senses and start trusting in God's supernatural power, we'll see the impossible manifest before our eyes.
To trust God also means discarding pride and boastfulness about our achievements. We must remember that all blessings come by the grace of God.
Pride can turn blessings into a curse, as seen in the Israelites, who were blessed with gold from Egypt but made a golden calf to worship.
It's wise to give attention to God and trust Him for everything we need. Don't look to people or rest our faith on humans; instead, always trust in God. There are many who have turned to lies, cheating, and blaming others for their own wrongdoing - that's pride.
We must be wise to discard all that is evil and embrace all that is of God.
Blessings,
