Luke 20:3 NKJV
But He answered and said to them, 'I also will ask you one thing, and answer Me.
Luke 20:3 NKJV
The chief priests, scribes, and elders questioned Jesus about the authority behind His teachings. They knew that no one could perform the miracles Jesus did unless God was with Him. However, they were unwilling to admit this truth due to their own pride.
Instead of rejoicing in the wonderful works of God manifested through Jesus, they accused Him.
Similarly, as followers of Christ, we can expect to face questions and criticism from the world, especially from those who rely on religious rituals and fleshly efforts.
As ambassadors of Christ, we are appointed and set apart by God to heal the sick, cast out demons, and preach the gospel. We must continue to fulfill this mission, regardless of who questions our authority.
Let our responses to criticism be answered by the manifestation of God's power and might as we serve the Lord.
We don't need anyone's approval to do the works of Christ, but we can gain godly wisdom and strength by working together as the body of Christ.
Just as Jesus functioned under His Father's authority, we function under the authority of Christ and serve Him willingly.
Let us be bold in displaying Christ and manifesting His power and glory in our daily lives.
Blessings,
