And not only the creation, but we ourselves too, who have and enjoy the firstfruits of the [Holy] Spirit [a foretaste of the blissful things to come] groan inwardly as we wait for the redemption of our bodies [from sensuality and the grave, which will reveal] our adoption (our manifestation as God's sons).

The verse before speaks about the creation awaiting the manifestation of the sons of God. The world is waiting for us to rise up to our God given identity in this world.

Not only that, but we too have the same eagerness for transformation to completely resemble Jesus in His likeness in our own bodies.

That which God has completed in our spirit, everything that Christ has established in our spirit - we are to bring that out and renew our five senses to reflect Christ.

Our responses, our prayers, our outlook and our perceptions must be transformed to the likeness of Christ.

This process becomes easier when we allow ourselves to be led by the Holy Spirit as He is the one who is revealing the completeness of Christ.

Praying in the Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues and edifying our lives in this transformation process will produce the likeness of Christ.

Our senses are neutral; they only pour out what we have put in. Since our former senses have been affected by sin and corrupted, we have to start washing our senses by the word according to our new identity.

Now in Christ we have become a new creation, and we have to transform our senses according to our new nature in Christ by investing all that Christ has done to our five senses.

Let us who have received the Holy Spirit continue to renew this body and its senses to reflect Christ every day.
