Matthew 9:36 NKJV

But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.

Matthew 9:36 NKJV

Jesus went about healing the people who had all kinds of sicknesses and diseases. Preaching the gospel of the kingdom to all who were on His journey.

While He was ministering, He saw the multitudes and He was moved with compassion. He was moved because they were scattered, weary and like sheep without a shepherd.

What Jesus saw was a group of people who were hungry but have no right leadership to guide them in the right path.

The religious leaders at that time were not setting the people free. Instead, they were loading burdens on the people that the religious leaders themselves do not carry.

What moved Jesus is the lack of right leadership. Paul picked it up in his spirit and said you might have ten thousand instructors in Christ but a few fathers.

Fathers nurture their children with one main motive. That the children would be in a better position than them. Everything that the father does for the children is to make sure they will have a better life ahead.

Leadership in the kingdom of God is to father the next generation. It is about guiding everyone to fulfill their full potential Christ has made for them.

This means to lift each other above ourselves. Fathers bring correction, not to pull them down but to cut off everything that will pull them down.

We too need to be moved with compassion for one another, to guide, lead and encourage to their best position in Christ.

Let us draw all to the place Christ has placed us and bring glory to His Name.

Live in the blessings,

Ps Ambrose
