“And looking at Jesus as He walked, he said, “Behold the Lamb of God!”

John the Baptist saw the heavens open and the Holy Spirit descended on Jesus in a form of a dove.

John witnessed the Son of the living God and he directed his own followers to follow Jesus.

He was not insecure about losing his ministry and he was not intimidated by Jesus. He found fulfilment and joy in passing the baton.

Godly leaders lead people to Christ and not to themselves. A godly leader does not promote himself but Jesus.

John the Baptist knew his purpose was to lead and point people to Christ and he did it and fulfilled his call.

We too are called to know Jesus and make Him known. Once we witness that Jesus is Lord then it is our call to make Jesus known to the world.

John the Baptist did not allow his passion to take over his call. When the time came, he gracefully pointed to his own to follow Jesus.

We have to be careful not to let our passion rule over our call but to drive us to fulfil our purpose.

Our purpose is to make Jesus known and to everyone, we point out that He is the answer, the way, the truth, and the life.

All of us are called to receive Jesus as our Lord and Saviour. To grow in Him every day and while we are growing in Him, we make Him known to everyone.

Don’t wait for tomorrow but share the experiences that we have and we will have more of God's encounters in our lives.

Let us point everyone to Jesus and encourage them to behold Jesus Christ as the answer to all.
