John 1:39 NKJV
“He said to them, “Come and see.” They came and saw where He was staying, and remained with Him that day (now it was about the tenth hour).”
John 1:39 NKJV
Jesus invited the disciples to come and see where He was staying at the tenth hour.
Tenth can mean a lot of things. The fulfilment of the Ten Commandments, tithing, ten virgins, the ten spies, and so on.
But the most important thing here is that after a long day, just before heading home to rest, Jesus’s passion to make disciples never stopped.
Jesus did not send them away because He needed some sleep for the next day but Jesus poured out as long the disciples wanted to hear Him.
When we are passionate to hear God and seek Him, God is more passionate to reveal Himself to us.
Jesus did not just want to give some spare time to those who wanted to hear Him, Jesus gave all of His time until they went back home.
What the disciples encountered that night with Jesus moved them to go and call others to hear the truth.
Jesus did not only make Himself available to all who would seek Him but now He has made a way to live in each one of us.
Jesus has come into our home, and into our lives to show His love, grace, mercy, peace, joy, authority, power, and His truth.
Now it is all about how much we want to allow Him to speak into the areas of our lives, to direct our decisions, to show us His abundance and His love for us.
God is always more willing than the willingness of the whole universe put together.
His word shows us what He will and He desires.
With the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, we will see and experience all that God wants us to experience.
We need to be aware that Jesus is residing in us all the time and we have Him waiting to lead us into triumph.
Let us fellowship with Jesus and know that He is always willing.
Blessings
