John 1:23 NKJV

He said: “I am ‘The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Make straight the way of the Lord,” ’ as the prophet Isaiah said.”

John 1:23 NKJV

John the Baptist is known as a forerunner to make the way for the Messiah to come. He preached a message of repentance and baptism to make ready a people for God.

Jesus came and was baptised under John's ministry fulfilling all that is said about the Messiah.

Today believers who are born again are likewise sent by God to prepare the way for the second coming of Christ.

When the gospel is preached to the ends of the earth then the end shall come. Jesus is waiting on His church which is you and I to do our part in preaching the gospel of Christ to the ends of the earth.

John knew his mission and dedicated himself to work for the glory of God. He was misunderstood by many of the way he lived and the ministry he carried out.

Each one of us is called to preach the gospel, heal the sick, cast out the devil and set the oppressed free in Jesus Name.

We must not worry if we are misunderstood by people.

We must continue to love and continue with what God has given to us.

We have a part to play for the second coming of Christ.

We have a part to play in the expansion of the kingdom of God here on earth and we have the authority to do so in the Name of Jesus.

Let us take our place as John did, like other men and women who have stepped out in faith to do the impossible.

Blessings

Ambrose Francis
