Matthew 7:28 NKJV

And so it was, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His teaching,

Matthew 7:28 NKJV

Jesus's words were not just information. It shifted the perspective with regards to their lives, their thinking, their position and empowered them to start living out the spoken word.

Jesus's word was not about adding on works. Instead, it is about empowering them to accomplish the works. The impossible, the unthinkable and the unimaginable becomes possible with the power of His word.

Jesus is the word. Therefore, when Jesus speaks, He released who He was, who He is and who He is to come. Every word of God is the power to deal with our past. It empowers our present and secures our future.

As Christ is, so are we in this world. That means every word we speak is not about what we know but it is about what we have become through His word.

People who know about things have information but no fruits in their lives. These are the people that Christ described as those who hear but have no application. We will be building a house on the sand if we don't apply and live the word of God.

Just like the Pharisees who taught what is lawful yet bribed someone to betray Jesus. The same money that they used to bribe was the same money they called unclean.

Therefore, it is important that we don't fall into the same pit that the Scribes and the Pharisees have fallen. We must let the word of God change our thinking, our words and our lives.

Let us be the word of God to all around us. Be the love, be the joy, be the healing hands and feet to bring the gospel of the kingdom of God.

Live in the blessings,

Ps Ambrose
