I Corinthians 4:7 NKJV
“For who makes you differ from another? And what do you have that you did not receive? Now if you did indeed receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?”
I Corinthians 4:7 NKJV
When pride comes into our lives, we think we are superior than others and start judging people based on their achievements.
Paul brings enlightenment to those who judged themselves to be superior than others.
Telling them that all they have is from God and all others have is also from God.
There is no difference between themselves. Both received God’s goodness by grace and not by their performance.
Now it’s true that some use the gifts of God and prosper more than those who don’t use what God has given.
Yet both have received the same from God. Therefore, we are all equally blessed by God.
This does not mean that there is no need for leadership. Instead, each one submits to each other accordingly for the glory of God.
We give honour where honour is due. Just like every parent would like their children to honour them.
We too honour one another and those whom God has placed in leadership for His purpose.
Leaders are not to dominate and exercise their power to show who is in control. Instead, leaders are to care, nurture and build each other in God.
We are all leaders in our own respective areas and we are called to lead with a serving heart.
We must remember that every soul is God’s precious delight, Therefore, we must be very careful how we serve each other.
Let us live with gratitude for all the things GOD has done for us.
Blessings
