II Peter 1:7 NKJV
to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.
II Peter 1:7 NKJV
Peter listed all the qualities that have been deposited in everyone who is born again, so that they can be put into practice in our daily lives.
Peter taught the believers to be active in living out the perfect life Christ has purchased for everyone.
It starts with believing that these qualities are already in us. Each one needs to understand that unless these qualities of Christ are in us, we will not be asked to live them out.
We are called to give diligence to exercise all these gifts, adding them to our faith all these divine qualities.
By doing so we will transform our thinking, acknowledge our true identity, and become the very person Christ has made us to be.
Love being the most powerful force tells us that all the qualities need to be anchored in God's love.
Peter concluded by saying that when we accept these things which are according to the truth, and they start to develop in us and abound, we will not be unfruitful or barren.
This encourages us to look forward to developing what Christ has given and becoming a fruitful branch of the Lord.
If we take each day to develop the gifts that we have received, it will cause us to grow from glory to glory and from strength to strength.
We need to start building our spiritual muscles with the power of the Holy Spirit. Understand that we are citizens of heaven and live under God's government.
Let us keep practising our true nature in Christ and magnify the King of kings.
Live in the blessings,
Ps Ambrose
