Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God,

Paul is encouraging Timothy to keep His focus and not to be ashamed of the gospel of Christ. As Paul is in prison, it can make things a little difficult to share with people about the freedom, power and love of God.

But there is something far more important than trying to save our face than people are perishing into hell without Jesus.

Paul's s encouragement to Timothy is to keep doing what is more important in life than trying to blend in with the religious and ungodly beliefs.

To be persecuted for Christ is more honourable than just living life for our own.

We do go through hardship, persecution, accusations, slander and so on for the sake of the gospel.

Jesus Christ, the son of the living God is the only hope for mankind to be saved therefore it is far more important to spread the message of Christ than to be ashamed of anything that we go through for Him.

There are many who is preaching the gospel and are being persecuted but it's nothing compared to the joy that is set for us who continues to preach Christ to the world.

Let us encourage one another to continue to share Christ and His finished work over our lives.
