Acts 19:15 NKJV
and the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?”
Acts 19:15 NKJV
This is an important lesson for the sons of Sceva and for all believers today. The enemy comes against those who do not know God.
Jesus came to earth and gave us all a new commandment that is to love the Lord our God with all our heart.
This means to know Him. We cannot love someone whom we don't know. To love is sharing, spending time and getting to know one another.
The more we know God, the more we will realise who we are in Christ. Our true identity becomes clearer as we spend time in knowing Him.
The deeper our relationship goes with our Lord, the higher we grow in the Lord and the more we will reflect Him.
We have to realise that knowing God should be the first priority to us as a believer. There is so much that God our Father wants to show us.
We don't realise how much we spend time looking, thinking and worrying about the work of satan. The situations, hurt, anger, bitterness, unforgiveness and storms of life.
We should instead keep looking at the work of God, His finished work over us and all that He has given to us.
Knowing God gives us victory over every enemy that comes our way.
We must not live life just tagging along with someone who knows God. We need to know God for ourselves.
Let us get to know God every day. Let us be building and shaping our hearts and minds in His likeness and image.
Blessings
