and when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that had been given to me, they gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship, that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised.

The apostles were learning about the grace of God as they encountered Paul and his ministry to the Gentiles. These things did not occur to the apostles before they see the grace of God at work among the gentiles.

This is an important point that we need to understand that there is so much more in the word of God that we have not fully understood.

We will continue to discover the height, the depth, the width and the length of God's grace as we focus on Christ and His love for all mankind.

Thank God that the apostles were teachable, unlike the scribes and the Pharisees who were stuck to their own ideology that hindered the moving of God's Spirit through their religious system.

A teachable heart is key to receiving the revelation of the goodness of God and His unconditional love to be tasted everyday.

Paul began to see God's amazing love far beyond just a group of people, beyond countries and cultures. Paul's revelation about the love of God has reached the world across the continent.

Seeing through the eyes of Jesus means to let go of the insight of the past and embrace the word of God in the light of Christ our Saviour.

As the apostles welcomed this revelation about the grace of God towards all people, Jews and Gentiles alike. We too need to be receptive to the Holy Spirit as He reveals Jesus and His plans for all mankind.

Let us keep looking unto Jesus, the author of our lives and the perfector of our faith.
