Ephesians 6:14 NKJV

Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, Ephesians 6:14 NKJV

We as believers are called to STAND firm, unshaken with the truth of God's word. The belt of truth holds together all the pieces of the armour to attack. This is so important as the Bible declared that the weapons of our warfare is not of this world but mighty in God to pull down strongholds. If we stand and believe the truth of God's word, every stronghold will come down by the power of God. The foundation Jesus laid is the truth that we gird ourselves to bring down every lie of the enemy. When the truth which Jesus set for us as a foundation is strongly fastened around us, then the righteousness of God will shine. The truth and righteousness reflect and complement each other. For righteousness is right standing with God. That is when we stand in line with the truth. The righteousness of God can be seen when it is aligned with the truth of God. Right standing with God is believing, standing and doing what God has said above every situation or circumstance. We don't fight flesh and blood but against the father of all lies who tries to take our eyes, heart and mind from the truth of who we are in Christ Jesus. The battle has been won by Jesus but it is for us to keep that victory by believing, standing and walking in the finished work of Christ. We are at war in the spirit. The enemy never stops looking for an avenue to steal away from us what Christ has established. We never earn this new life by our good deeds, we got it as a gift. Therefore never let our deeds fool us of the redemption we have received through Christ. It's a pure gift from God. If we want to add our work to that, it becomes impure, invalid and that gives satan access to steal the truth from us. Let us stand firm in the truth that Jesus has established for us and let the righteousness of God shine through us to heal, to restore and to shine the light that all may know Jesus. Blessings
