Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind,”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Paul highlighted the point that there is a distinctive difference between the people who know God and the people who do not know God.

Sadly many who have given their lives to Jesus do not live according to the spirit or even know that they have a new life in Jesus.

Many claims to be believers in Jesus but have no evidence of Jesus displayed in their lives.

The way we process things through Christ got to be different.

The way we think got to be different and our priorities got to be different from our old life.

We cannot claim to be followers of Jesus and keep living the old way, indulging in sinful activities, letting blasphemous words come out of our lips, and making decisions like we have no God.

This is what causes us to have a form of godliness but no power. We become good hearers only but not living and doing according to the word of God.

We say amen and praise the Lord and go about doing our own things. We confess that it is no longer I who lives but Christ who lives in me yet we don’t take time to think if whatever we are about to do is according to Christ.

This is what Paul is saying to the believers in Ephesus that they should no longer walk like people who do not have God or people who have not been redeemed by Christ.

The world needs to see the difference and we who have been redeemed by Jesus are the only ones here on earth that have the ability and power to display Christ.

There is no reason why people who do not know Jesus wants to know Him if the world does not see the difference in us who believe.

None of us are perfect in our walk with Jesus but we must leave our old life, and move towards perfection by living the word of God and by the power of His Spirit.

Therefore let us be intentional in getting rid of the old and rehearse the new life we have in Christ.

Blessings
