Romans 10:10 NKJV
For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:10 NKJV
When our mouth speaks or confesses the same things that our hearts believe, it gives life and brings forth something out of nothing.
When our mouth and our hearts come to an agreement with God and His Word, it will start to germinate in us.
Believing with our heart is like the seed sown in the good ground and confessing what was sown is like pouring water for it to grow.
When we believe Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, we believe the whole package. That is through Him we are now a new creation, holy, pure, filled with His fullness of love, grace and power.
And confessing what we believe is speaking that out loud into every aspect of our life regardless of what we are going through right now.
We confess what we have believed, not what we feel or what we see. Many believers believe in their hearts all that God can do but confess what they feel, hear, see and their circumstances.
When what we believe in our heart does not go along with our daily confession, it is not going to give life.
The seed is not going to germinate and bear fruit.
Believers today do not see much of the life of Jesus flowing through us because we don't follow through with our words.
Words are powerful.
It gives life or death. It all depends on what we choose to speak. Do we speak of who we are in Christ or do we speak who the world tells us of who we are?
We need to come into complete agreement with what God has said by faith in our hearts and by our confession with our mouth.
This is where the Spirit changes the flesh. We tell the flesh to be according to our image in God.
Let us watch and correct what comes out of our mouths. See to it that we are in agreement with God's promises.
Blessings
