Judges 1:3 NKJV
“So Judah said to Simeon his brother, “Come up with me to my allotted territory, that we may fight against the Canaanites; and I will likewise go with you to your allotted territory.” And Simeon went with him.”
Judges 1:3 NKJV
When Joshua died, the children of Israel enquired of the Lord on who would go and fight against the Canaanites.
And the Lord spoke to them and said Judah will be the first to go and fight.
The generation after Joshua was very obedient as they kept following the Lord. They asked the Lord for their directions and they followed through.
So at once, they moved as the Lord had spoken and did what the Lord had instructed.
Judah and Simeon joined together and did what the Lord had spoken.
Judah the bigger tribe partnered with the smallest tribe so that they could support each other.
There is such power in obedience and it is greater when we are united.
As believers, obedience unto the Lord and unity to accomplish the task is the key to have great success.
These two ingredients are so needed in the body of Christ.
Every vision God gives needs to be carried out with obedience and in unity.
We need to be united to accomplish the things God has laid. We need to support the bigger picture than just our personal opinion.
Simeon the smallest knew it was for their benefit to join Judah to fight. After all, Judah becomes their wall of protection against the enemy.
Everything we do in unity and in obedience will always come back and bless us bountifully.
Let us rise up at once when the Lord instructs us and join in to accomplish the work of the Lord.
Blessings
