“Teach me how to live, O Lord. Lead me along the right path, for my enemies are waiting for me.”

David was surrounded by the enemies, they were waiting to kill him and destroy his kingdom.

David’s prayer speaks of where he anchored his trust. It speaks about his confidence in God.

Yes, the enemy is after him and yes the trap may have been set but David knew as long as he followed God and walked in His footsteps, no enemy could capture him.

Therefore, he spent time seeking the Lord and His ways.

Many of us may be praying to get out of the situation but David prayed to get into God’s way and his plans.

The answer and the plan that God has made for us is found by following God.

Every miracle, every provision that God had prepared for us and the way to get it is by receiving from Him.

The right direction to go to is always God and His word. There is no other way that can give us assurance for our breakthroughs.

The noise the enemy makes is to get our attention off God so that we don’t walk in the authority and power that God has given.

We need to be constant in following God by living in all that He has done.

Today, we have God the Holy Spirit living in us to teach and guide us at all times.

May we continue to yield ourselves to Jesus and the truth He has given to us.
