‭‭II Timothy‬ ‭3‬:‭14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them,”

‭‭II Timothy‬ ‭3‬:‭14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Timothy grew up in the ways of the Lord by his parents and was later mentored by Paul.

Paul advised Timothy as a son in the Lord to be persistent in the things that he had received.

Paul encouraged Timothy that the revelation he had received needed to be put into practice or else he would be led astray.

Many brought the doctrines of man and traditions that were passed on which made them to possess a form of godliness but without the power of God.

It was important for Paul to remind his spiritual son to be alert, steadfast, and consistent to follow the Lord Jesus Christ.

Paul also encouraged Timothy and let him know that he has the support of him as spiritual father.

We too need to be persistent in the things the Lord has shown us. Build ourselves in the Lord and keep practising the new life we have in Christ.

Paul taught Timothy to be intentional and to apply all that he has learned.

Paul taught Timothy not to fall into the trap of the enemy and the lies that the enemy brings but to fix his eyes on the truth.

Let us also be steadfast, alert, and be intentional in applying the truth, for the truth that we know will set us free.
